PKG-REPOSITORIES(8) FreeBSD System Manager's Manual PKG-REPOSITORIES(8)

NAME

pkg repositories - display and manage package repositories

SYNOPSIS

     pkg repositories [-d] [-e] [-l] [repository]
pkg repositories repository enable | disable | reset

DESCRIPTION

pkg repositories displays configured software repositories for the
     package manager, pkg(8).

If given the name of an existing repository as an argument, only print
its configuration. Without arguments all repositories are printed.

When a repository name is followed by an action (enable, disable, or
reset), pkg repositories manages a persistent override for the
repository's enabled state. The override is stored as a file under
     $PKG_DBDIR/repos_state/enable/ or $PKG_DBDIR/repos_state/disable/ and
takes precedence over the configuration files regardless of the override
     chain.

The reset action removes the override, reverting to the value from the
     configuration files.

When a repository's state is overridden, the pkg repositories and pkg -vv
commands display "(overridden by pkg)" next to the enabled status.

OPTIONS

The following options are supported by pkg repositories:

     -d, --disabled
            Print disabled repositories only.

     -e, --enabled
            Print enabled repositories only.

     -l, --list
Print the list of repository names.

ACTIONS

enable Force the repository to be enabled, overriding the configuration
              files.

disable Force the repository to be disabled, overriding the
              configuration files.

reset Remove a previous override, reverting to the configuration file
              value.

FILES

     /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf default system repository

     /usr/local/etc/pkg/pkg.conf pkg(8) configuration, including
                                         system repository

     /usr/local/etc/pkg/pkg.conf.sample example pkg(8) monolithic
                                         configuration, including default
                                         repository

     /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/ location for site specific
                                         repositories

     /var/db/pkg/repos_state/enable/ directory containing override files
                                         for enabled repositories

     /var/db/pkg/repos_state/disable/ directory containing override files
